Workflow guide

A practical operator-friendly explanation of how this automation works.

How it works

This workflow is a chat-style decision assistant for leaders and operators who need to make calls from imperfect branch numbers, messy conversations, and “looks-fine” dashboards. It helps you quickly diagnose whether a signal is trustworthy, what’s likely contaminated, and what to do next—without turning the conversation into a stats lecture.

It uses a Knowledge Base-first policy to answer plain-English questions when possible, then routes the user into a decision-shaped menu (audit numbers, spot dirty signal, automation vs judgment, comparisons, and culture). Each path ends with practical guidance and a simple “what next?” prompt.

Key features

  • Knowledge Base-first responses with routing fallback for consistent, on-brand guidance
  • Button-based menu that maps to real decisions (not abstract “thought leadership”)
  • Dedicated paths for: trusted vs polished-noise branch metrics, dirty signal detection, automation vs judgment, and branch/conversation/attribution comparisons
  • A repeatable “Next move” prompt to keep decisions moving (back to menu or handoff)
  • Optional handoff to a human team when the situation is ambiguous or high-stakes

Step-by-step

  1. Trigger: The workflow starts when a user messages in (Input).
  2. Knowledge Base policy: The assistant uses your Knowledge Base guidance first, and is allowed to fall back to routing when the user’s need is decision/navigation oriented.
  3. Decision menu: The user picks what they’re trying to decide:
    • Audit which branch numbers deserve trust
    • Spot dirty signal before the meeting
    • Decide when to trust automation vs human judgment
    • Compare branches, conversations, and attribution safely
    • Build a signal culture that helps decisions happen
    • Talk to an analyst
  4. Targeted guidance: The workflow sends a focused, operator-friendly playbook for the selected topic.
  5. Next move: The user chooses either:
    • Back to menu (to run another diagnostic), or
    • Talk to an analyst (handoff)
  6. Handoff (optional): If selected, the workflow routes the conversation to Insights & Analytics with a clear handoff message.

Setup requirements

  • Calypso Knowledge Base connected and populated with your internal definitions (branch metric definitions, attribution rules, data freshness SLAs, and known edge cases).
  • No additional credentials are required beyond access to Calypso and your Knowledge Base.
  • Optional: Ensure the Insights & Analytics department exists (or update the department fields in the fallback node).
