Workflow guide

A practical operator-friendly explanation of how this automation works.

4 sections

How it works

This workflow turns “Do we trust this?” into a short, decision-shaped conversation. It first tries to answer using your knowledge base (so common questions don’t create new meetings), then offers a menu of practical signal checks that catch the usual failure modes: clean-looking bad data, misleading branch comparisons, and automation that’s right until it’s confidently wrong.

Operators get structured prompts and ready-to-send guidance that keeps the team honest without turning it into a stats lecture. If the situation needs a human eye, the workflow can hand off to an Insights & Ops owner.

Key features

  • Knowledge base first, then guided routing when the question needs judgment
  • Button menu for six common decision scenarios (trust vs noise, dirty signal, attribution misreads, etc.)
  • Clear “what to trust / what to challenge” guidance tailored to branch-level numbers and conversations
  • “What next?” step that routes back to the menu or hands off to a human owner
  • Optional escalation to an Insights & Ops department when the signal is high-stakes or ambiguous

Step-by-step

  1. Trigger: The workflow starts when a new message arrives.
  2. Knowledge base attempt: Calypso answers from your knowledge base when it can; otherwise it proceeds to guided routing.
  3. Choose a decision check: The user picks from a button menu (e.g., Trust vs noise (branch numbers) or Spot dirty signal fast).
  4. Route to the matching module: The workflow matches the selected button and sends the appropriate guidance.
  5. Pick next action: A follow-up menu asks whether to Back to menu or Hand off to Insights & Ops.
  6. Loop or escalate:
    1. Back to menu returns to the main menu for another check.
    2. Hand off routes the conversation to Insights & Ops with a clear handoff message.

Setup requirements

  • A Calypso messaging channel that supports interactive buttons (e.g., WhatsApp).
  • (Recommended) A populated Calypso Knowledge Base for common definitions and recurring questions.
  • Configure an Insights & Ops handoff destination (department) if you want escalation; no additional credentials are required beyond your existing Calypso channel setup.
