Workflow guide

A practical operator-friendly explanation of how this automation works.

How it works

This workflow is a practical “signal coach” that turns messy branch-level numbers, conversations, and event logs into decision-ready guidance—before a confident meeting drives the team into a confident wrong turn.

It starts by answering quick questions from your Knowledge Base (so people can self-serve definitions and policy), then it routes the user to a short menu of decision-shaped playbooks: what to trust, how to spot dirty signal, when automation is safe, and what teams routinely misread when comparing branches and attribution.

Key features

  • Knowledge Base-first responses for fast self-serve clarification, then guided routing to playbooks.
  • Button-based menu that keeps the conversation decision-shaped (not “thought leadership-shaped”).
  • Built-in “dirty signal” checks that focus on what fails first: definitions, coverage, incentives, and timing.
  • Explicit automation vs judgment guidance so teams know when to let rules run—and when to slow down.
  • One-click handoff to an Analytics queue when the situation needs human review.

Step-by-step

  1. Trigger: The workflow starts when a new conversation enters the flow.
  2. Knowledge Base policy: The assistant first attempts to answer using your Calypso Knowledge Base and stays available for follow-up.
  3. Main menu (buttons): The user chooses one of the playbooks:
    • Which branch numbers deserve trust?
    • Spot dirty signal before the meeting
    • Automation vs human judgment
    • Compare branches + attribution without fooling yourself
    • Build a signal culture that drives decisions
    • Talk to Analytics (human)
  4. Routing (if/else chain): The workflow routes based on the selected button.
  5. Playbook delivery (text): The assistant sends a practical checklist and advice tailored to the selected decision.
  6. Next steps (buttons): The user can return to the main menu or request a human handoff.
  7. Handoff (optional): If requested, the workflow sends a handoff message to the Analytics department.

Setup requirements

  • Calypso Knowledge Base: Recommended. Add or curate articles for signal definitions (metric definitions, attribution rules, branch event taxonomy, data freshness SLAs). No external credentials required.
  • Calypso Inbox departments: Create or confirm an Analytics department (used for handoff).
