Workflow guide

A practical operator-friendly explanation of how this automation works.

How it works

This workflow turns “we saw it in the dashboard” conversations into decision-ready judgment. It starts with your Knowledge Base (for quick answers if you already have internal definitions), then switches to a short menu that helps leaders pressure-test branch numbers, spot dirty signals before a confident meeting goes off the rails, and choose when to trust automation vs. when to escalate to a human review.

It’s designed for the reality that bad data usually looks fine until it’s expensive. The prompts steer operators (and leaders) toward concrete checks: what changes first when signals get contaminated, which metrics are reliably comparable across branches, and what teams most often misread in attribution.

Key features

  • Knowledge Base-first behavior, with automatic fallback into a guided decision menu when no KB answer fits.
  • One-tap routing to a human review via a dedicated “Request human review” option.
  • Five decision-shaped coaching tracks (branch numbers, dirty signal, automation vs judgment, comparisons/attribution, signal culture).
  • Loop-back to the main menu after each coaching response, so users can work through multiple angles in one conversation.

Step-by-step

  1. Start (Input): A user initiates a conversation.
  2. Knowledge Base check: The workflow attempts to answer using your configured Knowledge Base. If there’s no strong match, it continues.
  3. Decision menu: The user chooses what they need help with:
    • Trust checks for branch numbers
    • Spot dirty signal early
    • Automation vs human judgment
    • Compare branches & attribution
    • Build a signal culture
    • Request human review
  4. Routing by selection: The workflow routes to the matching coaching response.
  5. Return to menu: After the guidance message, the workflow returns to the same menu so the user can pick another path.
  6. Human handoff (optional): If the user selects Request human review, the workflow hands off to your configured team/department.

Setup requirements

  • Calypso Knowledge Base: Optional but recommended. If enabled, make sure your KB includes metric definitions, branch reporting rules, and attribution conventions.
  • Handoff destination: If you plan to use “Request human review,” configure the destination department/team in Calypso.
  • Credentials: No external credentials are required for this workflow as written.
