Workflow guide

A practical operator-friendly explanation of how this automation works.

4 sections

How it works

This workflow is a practical decision coach for moments when “the numbers look great” right before a team makes a confident wrong call. It uses your Knowledge Base first (so repeatable rules stay consistent), then offers a fast menu of decision-shaped checks—trusting branch metrics, spotting dirty signals, comparing branches fairly, and knowing when automation is safe.

Operators get a clean, repeatable conversation that turns fuzzy evidence (branch events, conversations, attribution stories) into a next-best action: a concrete check to run, a question to ask, or a human escalation when the risk is high.

Key features

  • Knowledge Base-first answers with routing fallback, so common signal questions are handled consistently
  • Button-based menu that keeps the conversation decision-shaped (not “thought leadership-shaped”)
  • Dedicated paths for branch metric trust, dirty-signal detection, automation vs. judgment, and cross-branch comparisons
  • A “Talk to a human” escalation path for high-stakes decisions or suspicious data

Step-by-step

  1. User Input starts the workflow when someone asks for help with signals, branch numbers, or decision quality.
  2. Knowledge Assistant responds using your Calypso Knowledge Base; if it can’t confidently answer, it continues to routing.
  3. Choose a signal check presents a button menu with the most common “decision about to go off the rails” scenarios.
  4. Based on the selected button, the workflow sends a targeted guidance message:
    1. Which branch numbers deserve trust → a practical checklist for trusting (or distrusting) branch metrics.
    2. Spot dirty signal early → early-warning indicators and quick validation moves before a meeting hardens the narrative.
    3. Automation vs human judgment → when to rely on automated signals and when to force a human review.
    4. Compare branches & attribution → common comparison traps and how to make comparisons decision-grade.
    5. Build a signal culture → lightweight norms that prevent slide-making from replacing decision-making.
  5. If the user selects Talk to a human, the workflow hands off to the Data & Insights team with a clear context message.

Setup requirements

  • Calypso Knowledge Base content for signal definitions, metric owners, and your organization’s “known good” sources (recommended).
  • If you want escalations: configure a support/ops queue that matches Department name: “Data & Insights”.
  • No additional credentials are required for this workflow.
