Workflow guide
A practical operator-friendly explanation of how this automation works.
How it works
This workflow acts like a calm, slightly skeptical referee for branch-level numbers, conversations, and “we swear it’s working” anecdotes. When someone asks a measurement question (or arrives mid-argument), it first tries to answer from your Knowledge Base. If it can’t, it routes them to a short menu of decision-shaped help paths.
Each path returns a practical checklist you can use before the meeting gets confident in the wrong direction—focused on what to trust, what to test, and what typically breaks first.
Key features
- Uses the Knowledge Assistant first, then falls back to a structured decision menu.
- Routes users to focused playbooks: trustworthy metrics, dirty-signal detection, automation vs. judgment, messy evidence, comparisons/attribution, and signal culture.
- Includes an escalation option to hand off to a human when the situation is high-stakes or ambiguous.
- Button-based routing keeps the experience fast—no academic detours, just decision support.
Step-by-step
- User Input starts the workflow when a message arrives.
- Knowledge Assistant attempts to answer using your configured Knowledge Base; if it can’t, it continues to routing.
- Choose what you’re deciding presents buttons for the most common signal/decision problems.
- Based on the selected button, the workflow sends a targeted guidance message:
- Which numbers deserve trust (vs. noise) → returns a trust checklist for branch metrics.
- Spot dirty signal before the meeting → returns early warning signs and quick tests.
- Automation vs. human judgment → returns a decision rule for when to trust automation.
- Use messy evidence without “cleaning away” truth → returns a way to preserve reality while reducing chaos.
- Comparing branches & attribution traps → returns common misreads and safer comparisons.
- Build a signal culture (not a slide culture) → returns operating habits that produce better decisions.
- Escalate to a human → hands off to the Insights team.
Setup requirements
- A Calypso environment with messaging enabled (Calypso Inbox).
- Optional but recommended: a populated Knowledge Base for your metrics definitions, data sources, and branch operating policies.
- No additional credentials are required for this workflow.
